In 1968, Mr. Mills began the 5-attorney law firm Schlanger, Mills, Mayer, & Silver, L.L.P., and developed it into a prominent mid-size Houston law firm, rated AV by Martindale Hubbell, employing top law school graduates from around the United States and offering a full-range of legal services, including real estate, construction, environmental, corporate, securities, tax, family law, probate and estate planning and litigation. Mr. Mills presently focuses his practice on commercial and personal injury litigation, real-estate matters and dispute resolution. A well-known arbitrator and mediator, Mr. Mills has mediated over 3,000 cases, including numerous cases involving claims in excess of $100 million. Additionally, Mr. Mills has served as Special Master in both federal and state cases, including class action lawsuits and toxic and/or mass tort cases, including the well-known Kennedy Heights case.
